Let's start with who is not playing:
Jason Witten, DeMarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff, Jason Hatcher, Anthony Spencer, Miles Austin, Kyle Wilber, Orie Lemon and Phil Costa. Word is the team is watching Dez Bryant closely and I don't even mention all the inside Olinemen who are out for varying times.
Romo is expected to play abound 12 plays. Orton is in for about a quarter and the two scrubs McGee and what's his name getting the rest of the reps. My biggest fear is the rag tag offensive line protecting Romo and Orton. Let the two tackling dummy qb's take the hits since it is unlikely either of them will make the team.
BTB listed these (5) players as the ones to watch against San Diego. David Arkin, Andre Holmes, Mana Silva, Alex Albright and Ben Bass.
The Silva vs Danny McCray competition at safety is heating up and only one will make the team. Silva has come out of nowhere to make it interesting.
Bass is one of the youngsters trying to make this team in the interior line and he looked good against the Oakland guys trying to make their team.
Phillip Rivers, the SD quarterback is set to play about a quarter. It will be interesting to see our secondary against Rivers. I am really anxious to see our first round pick Clairborne in action. Seems every report I read he is being torched in training camp.
