Consider the source - who is the source for the Strong reports

The two sites reporting that Charlie Strong will be the coach both are referencing a "high ranking" source. One was known to be tied to MB and the other has been "leveraged" in the past by Bellmont. I would still not put it past the old regime to attempt to poison the well even more than they have already done. Imagine the damage to the university image if everyone believes we have offered the job to Strong (including Charlie himself) to then do a 180 and offer it to someone like NS.

It's pretty apparent that Strong is happening and Saban is not, but if by some miracle it did, this specific thing would be vastly overshadowed by the fact that we hired Saban and we could hand wave it away as false sources.
