I was trying to understand if TX and OU would be forced to stay in the big 12 until the grant of media rights expires and I found this interesting article fom 9 years ago. Sounds like the grant of media rights is not nearly as big of a barrier as some think.

I suspect if TX and OU move to the SEC there isn't any reason it couldn't happen in 2022.

I think all the SEC baseball games are on ESPN+ if not on SEC network.

Hamilton spoke to a guy who thinks the 2023 season is a logical starting point.

The aggys announced departure in the summer of 2011 and were in the SEC for the 2012 football season. Assuming the media partners are good with the move I would guess  2022, not 2023.
