Common Man Prediction Thread – Week 11

Texas specific predictions:

Our defense has continued to play at an elite level with points scored against only looking worse due to terrible field position. Against a hobbled Florida offense I expect they will have another incredibly successful outing.
Florida scores 10 or fewer points on offense
Florida gains less than 250 total yards

Offense will look to continue to build on their Vanderbilt performance and I think back to full health, we see Quinn open things up a bit more, aided by his most explosive weapon, Isaiah Bond. I expect we continue to thrive in the horizontal passing game, especially against a hobbled Florida offense who misses a lot of tackles, but I expect we add in a bit more vertical element.
Texas with 8 or more passing plays of >20 yards gained
Less than 5 offensive penalties

Final score: Texas 38- Florida 9

I'd certainly be happy about fewer penalties. Just stop blowing our own foot off.

I will add that I think the defense scores in this one.

Florida with 17 points. The last 7 coming 15 minutes into garbage time.
Florida ended up with 329 yards. 200 on the ground. I'll blame garbage time for this as well.

Texas had 9 passes >20 yards, some catch and run but also some deep targets (2 that were dropped as well)
4 penalties called on the offense

I got it glad my Texas prediction was way off.

What a week of games it was! And our illustrious crew of prognosticators were on top of it all!

We had two members achieve perfection this week, which is unusual for this gang. lol Sunkist and BruiseLee both got every game correct!

So to the tiebreaker. BruiseLee predicted 42-3 Texas while Sunkist was a bit conservative with a 27-13 prediction. So BruiseLee is our champion this week!
