It's Thursday, with game day getting closer. It's time to put our worthless reputations on the line and call the game and the score.

Texas 17

TCU 10

What say you?

I'm thinking something similar SHA.  But I actually think the defense scores (again) and the offense legitimately puts up 17 so I'll go:

TEXAS: 24

TCU: 13

I really don' know what to predict in this game and I have no idea how the offensive line is going to hold up.  With that said I'l go:

20 - Texas

17 - TCU

If there was one team I wanted the Horns to beat more than any other it's TCU.  Yes, even over Oklahoma.  I respect Patterson and his coaches as coaches of the game, but I just can't stand them.  I want the Horns to shut down their negative recruiting ways and the only way for that to happen is by beating them.

Texas 16
TCU 13 in OT

I really hope we pull this one of,f would be a huge one and big momentum boost

A lot harder to predict when I don’t know who will be QB. Assuming Sam I’ll say 24-14 Horns. Kill em with short quick passes

Texas - 31

TCU - 10

Everyone expects our offense to struggle so im taking the other side.  TCU offense meet Orlando, Malik and Co.

This time Patterson gets schooled on defense.

With both teams having such good defenses, I expect this to be a surprisingly high scoring game with both teams scoring at least 30. Sort of a Murphy's Law thing.

Yup we thought the KState game was going to be 14-7 and it ended up being 40-34

TCU has a good offensive line and some very good running backs.  I also think they are much healthier than our Longhorns so I have to give it to them with a 31 to 24 victory  as we are still a year away.

Texas faces the same issue that it faced with OU. TCU is coming off a loss and they are going to be pissed and more focused.

I never pick against Texas but this will definitely be a defining win if they pull it off.

23-20 field goal in final minute.

I keep hearing people say this, what did you see in the RRR that showed OU pissed off and dominate?  UT held the team that’s average 42 pts a game to 29.... 9 points in the second half.... and UT offense which struggles put up 428 yards to there 518 (supposedly best offense in the nation) yea Sooners beat us but I saw nothing pissed off about it. I feel Texas will be equally pissed off and ready to prove they are ready to get over the hump because they are so close they can taste it.

Herman states In his presser don’t be surprised if all 3 QB’s play Saturday.... blowing smoke?? I’m not a believer in the alternate QB crap.

I don't supposed Scottish Guy will go 62-3 this week.

Does he give the same score every time? Seems like it, the infrequent times I hear him.

Speaking of stories... giving my age away again... I was in the stands, about in the "Card Section" wearing white button down collar shirt (probably white socks, too) in the infamous game where James Saxton went down and took a hit to the helmet... in which game Buddy Iles (who in fact hit Saxton on that play) took a long pass from Sunny Gibbs for game's only score.

That changed my view of TCU forever. Never got over how I see that school and colors. Oddly, the first college game I ever saw in general... Texas vs TCU in Austin on band day. Our high school came to Austin, all the way from East Texas, to march in a parade and attend the game. We sat in the curved end zone I remember. All afternoon the running back from TCU -- Jim Swink -- ran all over the field.

If that's not enough... my high school Principal took myself and couple of friends to Baton Rouge for a Saturday night game between LSU and... TCU. Have no idea how TCU fit in for all those occasions. The big deal for that game was two things. I got to see how crazy Sat night is driving near the stadium for such a game, as I recall it was all the thick black coffee, likely spiked with whiskey.  And I got to see Billy Cannon.

For that year with LSU, as I was told, all four in the backfield were from the same Baton Rouge high school, named Istrouma. After beating Ole Miss later that season with the famous 89-yard late punt return by Billy Cannon, LSU lost the SEC title, finished #3 in the nation, while Syracuse ended the season #1, and in the Cotton Bowl, Jan 1960, defeated.... Texas. Cannon ended up signing with the Oilers.

This Sat night, it's Texas-TCU. Again.
Game on.

I'll go...  TEXAS 30, TCU 17
