We've long heard of the "tough to beat Tech in Lubbock, especially at night" . . . well, this is a morning start, so give me:

Texas 48

Texas Tech 45

Well, we're playing on the road (yikes) against a QB who can run (oh god) and who is averaging almost 450 passing yards/game (RIP Texas secondary).

Tech: 66

Texas: 38

I think it all depends on the health of Tech QB Mahomes. If he is 100% then it will be a Tech victory , if not then Texas with its run game will lead to a Texas victory .

Horns can set a new UT offense record and still lose this one, just like when Sims did in Lubbock. That was with a better UT defense too.

"IF" Texas can keep everything in front of them like WV and TCU, it wont get out of hand.  BU is a prolific passing offense that is more balanced and runs the football, Tech is not a threat running the ball.

Since ole Chuck took over the D, there have been far less TD's scored.  They have blitzed more and had plenty of success sacking the QB, Tech is a sack seekers favorite type of team...They'll blitz damn near every down.  Kris Boyd has separated himself at corner and it has shown, we need him to play big.  If they force Mahomes to stay contained and throw from the pocket, I'm not sure this game will even be close.

To bad TCU has a shitty kicker or tech would have dropped that game..

Don't inflate Tech into some sort of Juggernaut, it's Tech.  Texas may not be very good, but Tech is pretty damn bad!

The consensus is Texas -3.5, the MGM just chimed in at Texas -4.  I want to bet against Texas, but I think Tech is a much shittier squad.  Tech was a top 10 offense in 2014 and I'm banking on an outcome similar to that one.

Playing Tech in Lubbock has been hell for UT.

Tech is Hell at night.  It's just another road game at 11:00 am.  Maybe we lose simply because it's a road game, it wont be because Tech is anything worth a damn.

They should be 1-4 in conference play if TCU didn't have a lame duck kicker.

Tech - 59
Texas - 45

Texas defensive assistants get a bump in pay for the superior effort and CS gets a vote of confidence.
