Here are my picks:

Houston - although Garrett Gilbert and the SMU Mustangs have the #7 passing attack in the nation I think Houston is too much much for them at home.

Miami - It's been a disappointing year for the Hurricanes and they still have some injury problems but I think they can get it done against a scrappy Pitt team.

Alabama - I will be rooting for Alabama to lose, mainly because I am jealous and I don't want another $EC team to win another National Championship but I think that Alabama will assert their will against Auburn and win it late by controlling the ball and limiting Auburn's ability to run.

West Virgina - I think that Casey Pachal being back at the helm gives the Mountaineers too many options for Iowa State to defend.

South Carolina - Make it 5 years in a row. I think the Gamecocks will control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and they win at home.

Stanford - Notre Dame is over-ranked (shocker) and thier quarterback is servicable at best. Standford's defense will shut down Notre Dame and the Cardnal offense will run the ball and control the clock.

Missouri - Missouri will get after Manziel and try to use the same pocket containment strategy LSU employed. The Tiger's defensive front is fast and athletic enough to cause problems for the poor aggies - although Evans will show up, unlike against the other Tigers. Watch out for a potential injury to a big star on the tough turf in Missery.

USC - I think USC has found their identity under Coach O and UCLA has too many injuries at key positions to pull this one out. They are out of things to play for except bragging rights in LA - and let's face it not that many people care.

Arizona State - Both teams are coming off of big wins from last week. I think I still like ASU even though the Wildcats are playing some inspired football right now.

Texas - Tech's run defense has been porous all year. They are coming in riding a 4 game losing streak and with freshmen quarterbacks running the show I don't think they can get it done against a Texas team that is limping along. Look for Texas to try to establish the run (without Daje) inside. As long as Case doesn't check out of too many play calls and put us behind the chains all night we should be able to sustain some drives and actually beat the will out of Tech. If we let them hang around too long it could be tight in the fourth quarter and we may have to rely on Case's arm to pull out a W for us.
