Coaching Changes, Rumors, Misc.

Enjoyed seeing Major lead the Horns to victory in my first trip to the RRR and even more so the misery of my sooner brother in law as it happened but not interested in him as the OC now.

How about this story line. The only UT QB to beat OU all four of his years in school, wins another state title as a head coach then leaves to become the OC at Texas.

Wow, it's time for me to put away the adult beverages.

I don't know how the hell my brain connected Todd Dodge the Gardere's accomplishment.
lol

I was about to say what in the name of Sonny Sixkiller are you talking about?

Seriously though, I did see a teaser about possible news about Dodge's future. Would he even be a serious possibility?

I won't be in that fan club. He's been OC here before. It ended with Mack Brown getting fired and an affair scandal that hurt The University.

I'll pass.
I’d like to know if it really is even a possibility beyond what Herman wants.   If it is, I could certainly see it happening.

Dodge?  He played on some really good Texas teams.... but didn’t start four years... or beat ou all four.... did he?

The more I read, the more I think Mike Yurcich is going to be the OC hire.
I had do google the name to see who this is.... since you are more enlightened - can you give me an idea why he would take the same position he has at tOSU here at UT?  It seems incredible that he would make that move.

He’s not the playcaller there

You know Herman could hire an offensive and defensive coordinator and keep all the rest of the staff. Move Beck to WR’s coach. Keep Washington at CB’s and move Naivar to LB’s. All these guys are high energy great recruiters. No insight here but just thinking out loud.

The good news is that Chris Ash is a believer in Ruby style tackling which is suppose to be a more effective way of tackle for results and keeping players from hurting themselves. Hopefully, we won't have the injury issues that we did last year.
