The NCAA rules say you can only offer 25 scholarships in any given year and 85 total on full scholarships. So how does Agie get away with 34 recruiting commitments? It easy they use the Bama/SEC scum bag tactic. In the SEC you can have all the verbal commits you want. Lou Sabin has used this tactic over and over. You commit to any number of recruits, called oversigning, and then when it comes time to sign you tell them there are no slots and the must Grey Shirt or start cutting players.
According to Rivals Georgia(30) and Agie(34) are the only schools with more than 25 in the 2013 class. A coincidence that both are in the SEC? It is supposedly unethical and in most conferences it is prohibited. Unless you are in the SEC and then it's just fine.
By example the Big 12 has one team, Iowa St, with 25 and none over 25. In fact the entire other major conferences only have one team over 27 and that is Illionis with 27. Yet the SEC has two.
Rivals also has their up to date 2013 Team Recruiting Rankings. Leader of the Pack is USC. Followed by ND, Fla, Ala, Mich, LSU, Agie, OSU, Fla, FSU.
However......
If you re-rank all the schools by average ranking of each recruit, the leader is still USC with that astounding 4.31 Star average ranking of each play they recruited. They would be followed by Ala at 3.79 and then there is a tie between ND and Texas for third with a 3.77 ranking.
Remember this is up to date as of today..
I found message board today at CBS Sports. At first I thought it was a circle jerk and then realized it was AGY having a Special Education moment..
There was an Agie post about the 34 recruits and the greatness that is TAM's 2013 class. One said it was the best in the nation..Well we know that is USC and it not eve close. In 34 recruits Agie has 16- 4 Star and zero 5 Star..USC has 16 recruits with 11-4 Star and 5-5 Star recruits..Only College Station math can Agie be ahead.
It didn't stop there. Another Gigger Boy said they got the number one WR'er in the nation. Since RJS, RSJ, or STP committed to Agie that give them a 4 Star WR'er. The top ranked WR is a 5 Star player out of Illinois named Laquon Treadwell, he is ranked #10 over all and the only 5 Star receiver. The coward they got is ranked #27 and is not a 5-Star player. The rest of the posts were the usual Special Education shit you would expect from TAM. Teashits and they seem to having a fued with FU because those retards, their words, in Florida know the real team has come on board and they are afraid.
Sadly the biggest had a Dallas Cowboys avatar and said the Cowboys were going to the Super Bowl as well. Nice..
But..before I digress into total Gaggie fantasy talk here is the thing to remember.... Hook Em!
