I don't post much and I don't pretend to have any special insight into the situation, but I just don't see Chad Morris coming here. EVEN IF the reported buyout wasn't a huge issue, this is a guy who sleeps in aggy pajamas. My dad is a Clemson grad and I have been down there with him for a couple of games over the past few years. Met Chad and his wife while on one of those trips. Mrs. Morris (also an aggy) was one of the nicest, most cordial ladies I've ever met.
Until she found where I went for undergrad. Her nose scrunched up and you could see the disdain in her face. Irrespective of what Morris wants to do, I'd think keeping the wifey happy is as high on his priority list as it is for the rest of us and a woman who went from that gracious to that disgusted just at the mention of the fact that I'm a Texas grad isn't go let him come here.

A couple of sayings come to mind: 1) If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy; and, or course 2) _____ is undefeated. I'm sure you all can fill in the blank.

I've been a sports writer for more than 30 years and covered Chad Morris' first coaching job at Eustace. My sons all attended his camps. He is the epitome of class. Yes, he attended Texas A&M. That means squat. Charlie Strong is from Batesville, Arkansas. I've lived in Arkansas for the past 15 years and the hatred for Texas throughout this state is as real today as it was in 1969. Charlie probably felt the same way about Texas until Monday. But jobs are jobs, and while Chad's degree says Texas A&M, I can assure you that if he were hired today at Texas, his allegiance would be 100 percent Texas. I doubt it will happen. His buyout is reported to be 6.5 million. I'd shout to the rooftops if it happened.

I did not even think about him, by I would doubt it at this point. He really doesn't fit the spread or up-tempo that CS says he wants to run.
