The word we’re hearing at HornsDigest.com is that OLB Malik Jefferson, the state’s top prospect for 2015 who is scheduled to visit Texas this weekend, is seriously considering Texas over A&M because he’s starting to believe Strong and Co. have the better coaching staff to prepare a linebacker for the NFL.

Don't tease me Chip. . . .

I know where you tailgate beeotch .. . .  .

:P

My aggy friend thinks Jefferson has a very good relationship with the aggy LB coach and that is why he thinks Jefferson goes to aggy

Damn good article by chip I love strong more and more everyday can't wait to see the product I think we may have got a Homerun with him

I sure hope not. I would be very disappointed.  Malik is the type of recruit that other top recruits will want to play with. I say tell him if he comes to Texas he can wear number 60.

Nah...#60 is a Mike number.

Malik is too fast and sleak for that.  More likely he plays Will and blitzes the QB from the blind side.

That's true Malik is a Derrick Johnson type of LB. However, I would like to see a great UT linebacker wearing 60 again. If I see #60 dropping the QB for a loss, I won't care if he comes up the middle, from the side, or drops from the sky.

He can wear any number he wants as long as it is Burnt Orange!

If A&M has another year like it did on defense there's a good chance Hagen won't be there. Based on several boards Aggys deslike Hagen more then any other coach on the staff. Not that coaches read these boards or anything, but it seems like Hagen isn't a well liked coach on campus. If Snyder has another bad year as a d-coordinator he will have to find a scapegoat or two.

Malik has also said in interviews he really likes Brian Jean Mary. Matter of fact Jefferson loved Manny Diaz and that's partly why he cooled on us for a little while. Relationships can be built and they can crumble down based on results on the field .

I personally don't give a damn whether any highly ranked recruit does of doesn't want to play for school x or school y. I just want Coach Strong to get his message to players who want to play for him. I want to see what Coach Strong can deliver with a core group of players believe in him. If he can do at Texas what he did at Louisville, those on the outside, looking in, can go to hell.

Yeah my friend said they may wait for Jefferson to sign letter of intent and then let Hagen go. Sounds crappy to me if they use that relationship to get a player and then let the coach that got him there go. He agreed.

I hear this coming weekend is huge as it comes for getting Malik. I mean huge. If you asked me I would say we lead and could pull away this weekend. Just a guy feeling.
