Cheap Seats View of the recruiting class

We learn something everyday.  I never knew you were a pilot.  I fly as well, as does the love of my life, but nothing like what you drove.  Me - Cessna 182t.

Maybe we should start a pilots thread.  No one likes to BS more than pilots. :)

Well I'm not so sure about those BBQ guys but yes, as a rule, it's deep around pilots.

...

It started when CFS flipped Malik Jefferson, the bell cow of the class.

...

CFS also landed or flip a bunch of this class from prior commitments. . of course he lost a few too. . .

Malik (Aggy)

Cherry (Tenn)

Hagar (Baylor)

Lodge (Oregon)

Newsome (UCLA)

Johnson (signed with Ga but went prep)

Locksley (FSU)

I'm sure I missed a couple. . . .but 2 guys flipping to us on NSD plus Kai on sunday/monday. . .one heck of a finish.   And this class has everything, play makers on offense and defense, great leaders and a vision into how tireless CFS and staff were on the recruiting trail.
echeese -- great write-up !!

However, I will have to agree to disagree with you on your Flippin' analysis:

1st - Malik never was an aggie commit, so I am not sure you can call that a Flip .... in fact Texas offered MJ during Junior Day on March 23, 2013 and aggies offered MJ 2 days later ...

2nd - we may never see this many flips again for Coach Strong's UT ... simply put Coach Strong and company were behind the 8 ball still during the 2015 recruiting .... coaching staffs work relationships with recruits for most of 2 and half years before NSD ... many recruits had relationships with schools long before Coach Strong arrived on the 40 Acres, so Coach Strong had some catching up to do to gain their trust and signature so of course many of the Flips were already aligned with other programs

Thanks Harley and valid points. . . .

A 3rd reason we likely won't see it as much, CFS has "established his brand" and will continue to do so.   It did make for a WILD FREAKING FINISH.

And yes, Malik just felt like a "flip" since he wasn't already committed.

Nice write up sir, thank you.

My kid worked at CEC 1 night. She was so excited to get the job cause she loves kids. Her first night they made her (16 years old) work over 9hrs straight w/no break (no food or drinks allowed). She came home tired, hungry & upset. We talked and she asked if quitting would be bad & I told her no, so she did. She promptly went out and a got another job which she is still at today and has received a couple of promotions/awards. I wasn't a fan of that place before then & definitely not one now.
