I've said it before and I'll say it again, Strong is a good man but you can't get shut out by Iowa St and get beat by Kansas as the HC of Texas. Best of luck to the Strong family in the future.

I feel for you Dbut. You were true blue to the end. Your arguments regarding allowing Charlie the fourth year were correct and valid until Texas lost to Kansas and TCU. At that point, there was nothing that was going to save Charlie's job. Texas fans, in general, had lost hope. I appreciated your counterpoint during this entire drama.

That Kansas loss was the nail in the coffin. I wanted that man to succeed. Unfortunately it didn't work out. I'll always root for him unless fate has it that wherever he lands challenges the University of Texas. Time to stand behind Herman. And he'll have my full support! Hook Em! \\m//

i wish strong the best.  he had successes at UT that we'll never forget and that will help us in the next several years.  unfortunately, this is a business of winning on the field and that was his demise.

i'm glad that perrin had the balls to make the hard decisions.
