The Golden Nugget has the lines up for the Texas games and, get ready because here it comes, they have Texas as the underdog in exactly six games.

It likes Texas to lose a bunch of toss ups, labeling the 'Horns an underdog in neutral site contests against UCLA (+8) and Oklahoma (+9), and at home against Baylor (+3). Texas is a narrow road dog at Kansas State (+3.5), Texas Tech (+1) and Oklahoma State (+2)."

"Viewing each game in a vaccuum, the casino likes Texas to win six."

I'm glad there is no case to be made for the Longhorns winning only six games. I heard there was actually an idiot out there that was making the argument last week that Texas could go 6-6.

assuming ash is playing (always the caveat, i know) i'd take texas and the points in every one of those games and i doubt i'd do worse than 4-2.

count me as someone that feels we could have done MUCH better with this hire!  I feel like we settled.  We needed a big splash and we got a thud.  Fine, if exciting, top notch assistants were hired to support Coach Strong but that didn't happen either.

We are stuck with what we have for the next 3 years and so Coach Strong has my support.  I realize he inherited a mess and that will take time to clean up.  I just don't think he's the right guy for the job.

I hope CS proves me wrong and that I have to eat my words however from what I have seen so far I am not sure that I will.

Assuming Ash is able to play, I also think we go 9-3 and end up with a top 12 recruiting class. 

I'm not overly worried about recruiting ranking so long as we're in the top 15 and we land a QB that is truly outstanding. A mobile QB that can throw will cover up a lot of problems on the offensive side.

Sounds about right. We're already Top 15 with only 10 verbal commits. If I recall, we have about 15 to go. So far, despite the weeping and gnashing of teeth on the forums, our 247 composite average is 91.0 compared to 91.3 for the Aggies (that, you know,  #WRTS).

Did I miss your prediction? I don't agree with your opinion because Strong was just what Texas needed and I can't wait for the back tracking to begin or the revisionist of history...

I think you missed again... they were willing to bet on Charlie that if your going to give a few points it would be a sure bet. They were betting against Vegas because they think that Vegas is wrong like you are wrong....
