Cantu helped the Longhorns to a 5-0 record while starting three games behind the plate and two at first base and hitting .375 (6-for-16) on the week. The Corpus Christi native tied for the team lead with seven RBI while adding six runs and a pair of doubles, and he drew a team-high six walks to have a team-best .545 on-base percentage. Cantu had the first two multi-hit games of his career in the first two games of the week, going 2-for-3 vs. UTSA and 3-for-3 in the series opener vs. Minnesota, while also recording five RBI in that game. Cantu also provided flawless defense behind the plate and at first base, while catching a Texas pitching staff that had a 0.40 ERA on the week.

His throws to second base on attempted steals are major league stuff.

Slim LOVES your second pic there Don.  He probably won't comment on it, but I know that he really likes that one.  :)
Well he should, I mean what's not to love, The Colors, The Action, the Ball meeting the Bat... Heck, in my book that's a win win situation..

I'm trying to justify Augie ordering a bunt with no outs and the leadoff hitter on second with a double.

Someone help me here.  Jesus!

Texas has power in their offense this year and hope Augie leaves them alone to keep getting those runs........Hook'em

I need to go back through and look at the situation... I Don't remember as I was pretty stoked about catching that image..

Augie could have been using that moment as a teachable moment...

It was one of the Minnie games.  LOL - what was he trying to teach a college player with, arguably, at least 15 years of baseball experience - starting with little league?

Saturday: 2:11 PM PST.

That was the exact moment I received a text from Slim experiencing major heartburn and angst from his seats behind home plate. :)

Going from High School to the College Game is a Big Jump...

Michael played for Moody HS in Corpus Christi. I played on the very first Moody baseball team in 1968.
