Yes, BYU got their walkthrough of DKR yesterday.  They also took the opportunity for a photo op.  LHN just showed a pic of BYU's offensive line coach posing with players on the Longhorn.  Their O-line coach threw the horns-down on the Longhorn.

Until the end of the whistle, men.  Until the end of the whistle.  It's time for them to go home, with an "L".

Hook 'em!

Maybe I'm missing your point. . .

They are a good deal like coach strong. . .very disciplined, win with defense, stress fundamentals. . .

Good staff that gets the most out of their talent. . .

Do you see Coach Strong going to another field and posting a picture on their field of him making a disrectful gesture on their emblem?  On LHN Ricky and Ahmad laughed and said they learned their lessons about behavior like this the hard way.  I sincerely hope that BYU does, as well.

I don't.  He is respectful of other teams, but not afraid.

Yeah...I kinda see what java is saying. Especially if they were all gathered in the middle of the field and stomping around on the longhorn...giving the horns down.  I don't care for that.

Exactly what they did, and posted it!  I hope bad karma bites them, hard.

I do. I hope that did that in front of Vance Bedford or he's heard about it. Vance has so much UT pride that he will use this to fire up the defense even more. I hope BYU keeps up the disrespect.

I'm a tad surprised that Bronco would do something like that. . . .and disappointed. . . bad karma.  .. . karma can be a bitch

Last time I remember a team jacking around on the Horns was UNC doing it before the "Cole Pittman" game. . . .Let me share a small story about that day .. . .

It was the weekend before 9/11. . . .Michelle and I had just started the long distance thing a month earlier. . . .she could see the game but not hear the audio so we stayed on the phone (unlimited long distance on teh cell) and I gave her play by play . .. .

She was almost in tears as I told her about Cole being killed and what he meant to the team .. . .

She broke down completely when I told her of Mock running to Mack to preserve the 44 on the scoreboard. . . .

We have 3 signed copies of Raising Cole, one is signed to me, one to my brother and the 3rd is for Travis. . . I will give it to him when his 1st child is born. . . .

If LHN has it, I would think Vance has it.  Vance and Strong don't miss much, if anything.

Charlie doesn't let our players walk on the Longhorn in the dressing room except on game day.  I don't think he will think this is appropriate, at all!

The first time they showed it there was no close-up.  Now there is.  It is on twitter.  I will watch closely next time for twitter address.

That's good this will especially fire of the defense, which will be sky high anyway from last year's embarrassment.  My only concern about the defense is that may have to be on the field too much because of the inexperience of the offense.

Truthfully guys....I don't take it very seriously. I didn't see it, but most likely the whole thing set-up by LHN...........kind of like creating a bad guy for a wrestling match. Nonetheless...it should not set well for our defense. BYU boys (or grown ass men...whichever) ....throwing down the gauntlet. Our guys need to respond.

Don't think it was set up since it was sent out on twitter.

It appears so, Mike.  If they are looking for a conference home, that is not the way to win friends and influence people.

I am kind of curious as to why this post was tagged as disrespectful?  I think it was probably done in jest and maybe stir the embers to create a rivalry but thats just me.

Why would be want to create a rivalry with BYU?  The ACC and SEC just announced this week that games with them would not be acceptable as out of conference, Power 5 games.  They play grown men that have been on two year Mormon missions that do not count against eligibility.  They are freshmen at 20/21 and seniors at 24/25.  Think that could be an advantage?

When I heard we had scheduled them for a home and home, I thought DeLoss had lost his mind, Mack, as well.  Two extra years of strength is a huge advantage in football.  Playing them is a lose/lose.  Win, and you gain nothing.  Lose, and you lose so much.

I'm not in favor of scheduling them in the future.  Evidently, other conferences feel the same.  Hopefully, Steve Patterson is not foolish enough to do so.
