If Muschamp hires Major, Florida would be my favorite SEC team. If there is such a thing.

Names I'm hearing getting a lot consideration for #UF O-staff: #Texas OC Major Applewhite & #USC OC Clay Helton.

...major applewhite, shall no longer be a texas concern. let us just say goodbye. wish him and his family well, and present a "toast" to his well being...

nothing more... nothing less.

I don't know for sure yet. I wanna see what Major can do without Mack breathing down his neck.
I'm so glad Florida crapped the bed this year. What a blessing in disguise.

Very fortunate WM is not being considered for UT head coaching position. Love him as a DC

Thank You Major and Good Luck If True. I wish you nothing but the BEST. I think NEW Coach should bring in his own staff unless he is wanting some of the current Staff.

Muschamp can do better, Applewhite wouldn't be a diaz level hire but he should be way down the list when it comes to OC's. Maybe a position coach, he can recruit.

Fair but that is a huge risk for Muschamp who has 1 year to prove himself at UF or he is out.

Major might very well be a decent OC without Mack around but thats not a chance Will can afford, IMO.

I think Major would be a good OC for Muschamp...........Mack is the problem, see what happens when Mack changes game plans.

I wish him all the best no matter where he goes or what he does. He will always be in my Top 20 Horns of alltime

Muschamp is toxic right now. He's where Mack would have been if he had tried to stay. Few but the hungry will take a risk on a 1-yr gig with a guy under the gun.

Major's looking for a place to land, so it's a fit.

It is a huge risk. But Muschamp and Major are tight. Not many top flight coordinators are gonna risk going to Florida with the struggles they've had lately. This seems to me like two friends helping each other out more than anything else.

Major needs a job and if we are being honest there aren't a whole lot of other BCS conference teams that would give hime a look. Florida would be a fortunate spot for him to land.

Muschamp would be incredibly stupid to hire Major as his OC.
Perhaps so - for his OC ability. But he is a slam dunk for his state of Texas recruiting contacts and ability. He will hurt us in this area and we will lose a commitment or two, if he goes to Florida. Muchamp knows this.

You can not hire a coach for his recruiting ability when you are fixing to be fired. You need a coach who can coach. What's the point of bringing kids in you'll never coach?

Major may wind up as a good OC but I was disappointed in his "hurry up, spread the field, get the ball to your playmakers" offense.

Having Case throw the ball 37 times against Baylor in those weather conditions was beyond dumb. First play of the game we run the ball 7 yards and then throw passes on the next 2 plays that were incomplete. Result.....Three and out.

When we lit up the scoreboard...Major was genius. When we crapped in our pants, it was Mack interfering. I say Major gets credit both ways. The "Mack breathing down his neck" card only has legs because someone wrote it, and then it just got picked up and repeated enough times that people believe it.
