Speaking in OU Caravan Event, OU head coach Bob Stoops said the following.

"So they've had the best team in college football," Stoops said at a "Sooner Caravan" Sooner fan gathering. "They haven't had the whole conference. Because, again, half of 'em haven't done much at all. I'm just asking you. You tell me ...
Continuing.

"What'd we [the Big 12] have, eight of 10 teams in bowl games this year? Again, you figure it all out."
Not unexpectedly the SEC fired back. First there was Will Muschamp.

"I'd be saying the same thing if I were in the Big 12," Muschamp, a former Texas defensive coordinator, said with a laugh on Wednesday. "I said it for three years."
The Saban practiced his stand up routine with this one liner.

"You're going to have to tell me what he said,†Saban said, per al.com. “I've got more important things to do than sit around and read what Bob Stoops has to say about anything."
The last seven major college football national champions have come from the SEC, and the conference just had a record 63 players selected in the NFL Draft. Still it's a tale of the haves and have-nots of the SEC. The top half wins all the championships, gets all the juicy bowls, plays most of their games at home, and when they do play an out of the conference on the road, they take SEC referees.

The bottom half? Here is their record.

Ole Miss: 7-6 overall, 3-5 SEC

Missouri: 5-7 overall, 2-6 SEC

Arkansas: 4-8 overall, 2-6 SEC

Tennessee: 5-7 overall, 1-7 SEC

Auburn: 3-9 overall, 0-8 SEC

Kentucky: 2-10 overall, 0-8 SEC

This group gets to chant "S E C" and act like they won something.

Good points made by Stoops (just puked in my mouth for saying that) but the fact that SEC has owned the BCS Title for 7 years carries a lot of weight. Saban can say what he wants and Muschamp needs to STFU.

Stoops was talking of how the entire SEC gets cover because of a few teams. It is, by a mile, the most top heavy conference.

Perfect example is Mississippi State. They go 7-0 against Jackson State, Auburn, Troy, South Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee...note the SEC teams are all in the bottom six...

They rise to a ridiculous number 7 in the polls and then crash, but not before Alabama, LSU and Agie get points on strength of schedule by beating a ranked team.

I think we all get sick of hearing about it - like Bob, but he is a freaking whiner to the third degree. Talking to my bro-in-law tonight (LSU grad) he mentioned Stoops was whining about them being the #1 defense in the country when they played the Tigers in the ##BCS Championship game back in the 2004 Sugar Bowl. Tigers won 21-14. On another note, will this be the year we put a hurtin' on the Sooners?

Not a Stoops guy but he was sticking up for the Big XII. If Alabama was held to other teams standards they would not have won a BCS Championship two years ago.

No offense to your bro-in-law, but F@#K LSU too..

These last 7 BCS titles were won by only 4 SEC teams. I will agree that the SEC is top heavy. And F@#K Stoops again.
