I don't think Bo would fit in at Texas.

Bo Pelini annoyed with 'clueless' parent after Stringfellow decision

On June 1, former Washington wideout and top-100 overall recruit Damore'ea Stringfellow told reporters he had filed the necessary papers to transfer to Nebraska, and that "my mom and my dad support my decision 100 percent." And on June 20, Stringfellow made it officially official that he would be playing for ... Ole Miss .

At Big Ten media days Tuesday, Bo Pelini was asked what had happened with Stringfellow's late change of heart.

"Read between the lines," Pelini said, according to Huskers Illustrated writer Michael Bruntz. "I think we all know what happened in that situation."

Pelini was then asked a follow-up question on "whether it's parents making their kids' decisions for them" (in Bruntz's words) and if Pelini found that frustrating.

"Especially when it's a clueless parent," he said.

Well then! OK, coach! Good talk!

(And meanwhile, if we could beseech thee, college football gods, to take note of the several bowls that have the potential to match up a Big Ten team with an SEC opponent -- the Capital One, Outback, TaxSlayer, or Music City -- and give us an Ole Miss-Nebraska meeting, that would be divine.)

On a football note - What's it going to take for Pelini to keep his job in Nebraska after this season?  I think the Huskers need to win big or he's probably gone.  Talk about a storied program that hasn't done much in quite a while.

I'm under the impression that they are at the point where they aren't planning on firing him, especially after last year he all but challenged them to do so and they didn't.

What ever happened to his D-bag brother? Didn't he and some assistants get canned or reprimanded on a drug charge at his current/previous coaching stop? Were those allegations false? Inquiring minds trying to remember.

Wish I had it but Frank the Tank (think it was him) did an outstanding write up on why Neb screwed themselves completely going to the B1G .. .

They killed any regional recruiting draw they had. . . especially their Texas pipeline. . .

2014  4 guys all 3 stars

2013  3 guys though 1 four star

2011   5 Texas players  3 of them four star guys. . . .

Kids want to either play close to home for the most part or at least know their parents can see them play.

If I'm Neb, I'm scheduling at least one game in Texas every other year. . .closest they come today, 2021 @ OU . ..
