DeSoto RB Dontre Wilson will take a official visit to Texas this weekend. Oregon & Ohio State still lead but Dontre likes Major and what the new offense will look like. Still have a uphill battle to get him but getting him on campus is huge.

Good news that he is coming on campus but he is a long shot for us. Hopefully Larry Porter can charm the hell out of him.

Cool...more speed..whats his 40 time?
WIlson is a solid 4.40 guy speedwise. Earlier today his dad came out and said he is 50% oregon and 50% buckeyes.

He is a long shot for sure but hey anything could happen
Let's hope Oregon AND Ohio State get "Torshiro'd" on NSD and Texas reaps the benefit.

It's about time Texas has one of the longshot recruits flip and commit to the Longhorns. Dontre would be great at doing that for us. COME ON D-WIL!!!

Long shot for sure, but I'll never bet against Major, Mack, Searles and apparently Porter as well.

Would a school-sanctioned trip to the Yellow rose be appropriate? Probably not, but hey.....

I'll take the trip if Dontre doesn't want to go.

Yes, i know YOU would.
Just tryin to do my part. I'd hate for the money and effort go too waste. I'll take one for the team by God.

NEWS: The rumormill has it(take it for what it is worth) that Wilson is very much interested in Texas as his collegiate school. He has been committed to Oregon for quite some time now and I know it is hard to imagine him coming to UT, but Major Applewhite is making waves with recruits and current players.

I still think Wilson ends up at Oregon but Texas will be the last school he visits before NSD.

He is supposed to announce his decision on Sunday.
