Texas gets a verbal pledge from (2014) Houston Lamar defensive back John Bonney, who ranks No.31 on the current LSR Top 100.

I thought Bonney would commit a lot earlier to Texas but I heard Stanford and Oklahoma were major players. I know he respects the hell out of Duane Akina and grew up watching Texas which makes his commitment no surprise (but it is still awesome as hell).
