Is the writing on the wall for the Big East? This adds even more uncertainty for a conference that is losing members faster than a gambler in a casino. There will be more shakeup soon within the conference VERY SOON I predict.

According to reports, the Big East schools asked for his resignation last night. Seems they can't get along. The schools want someone more inline with their ideals. Look for Rutgers President to be the front runner.

He was kicked out and not soon enough. He stood by as the Big East sunk. What was once a power conference has been relegated to the likes of Conference USA and all of MountaineerNation is happy to be out of that nightmare.

The Big East will be extinct in a matter of months. If not physically then in stature. The automatic BCS qualifier has been revoked and it is just a matter of time before the teams of worth, which is very very few, left in the league try and bolt elsewhere. JoshScott is absoultely correct. The Big East is now no different than C-USA or the Mountain West.

WVU was the only valuable football property left in the Big East. Some will say that I only say this due to my Gold and Blue goggles but the other teams bring nothing to the table.

Pitt cant even fill half a highschool stadium for its spring game. (gone to the ACC)

Syracuse has a good basketball team. Football hasnt been relevant since Donovan McNabb. (gone to the ACC)

South Florida has a good location for recruiting purposes.

Cincinnati, Louisville, etc dont really have anything to brag about. They have good coaches but will never be elite teams. Might be good for a couple years at a time but cant sustain it.

West Virginia was the last crown jewel, and the 3-0 BCS record gave a shred of legitimacy which the Big 12 now owns.

The Big Least is a mid major football conference now whose champion is as credible as the Sun Belt.
