I know it's entirely too early with recruiting and transfers. With that said, if you had to rank how the Big 12 finishes next year what would be your rankings?

1-OU (return a lot on defense, but lose almost all their skilled players on offense. Still think they are probably the best team in the Big 12)

2-Texas (think Texas could win the Big 12 depending on QB play)

3-Baylor (losing entirely too many starters. Best receiver, best running back, and a whole bunch on defense)

4-Kansas State (would think about putting them higher but they are losing almost their entire offensive line and some critical pieces on defense)

5-Oklahoma State (it's sickening how many players they are losing)

6-Tech (losing some important pieces on offense and just don't have the big guys up front to compete)

7-TCU (meh)

8-West Virginia (meh)

9-Iowa State (meh)

10- Kansas (lots of meh)

I think right now we are 3rd or 4th. This staff coaching the team this year wins at least two more games, and I know the QB play cant get anything but better.

...simply no knowledge of our quarterback situation. still recruiting. much too early to guesstimate...

Big 12 has key non conference games that will either help or hurt it's declining national perception.

Auburn, FSU, UCLA to name a few.

Texas plays,

UCLA (neutral site)

OU (same)

@ KState

@ Tech

@ Okie State

Baylor

BYU

At home

I thought about putting Texas a little lower, but I just can't see it. Who is going to be better then Texas next year out of Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Tech? It's really insane how much talent all those teams are losing. Maybe I'm being a little too optimistic........I can see us finishing 3rd or 4th though, but I can also see us finishing 1st if Ash is healthy.

I'll try and find what I posted over at OB. The amount of talent Baylor, OK.State, Kansas State, and Tech is losing is crazy. If you think we are losing a lot, you haven't seen what some of these teams are losing.

1. OU

2. Baylor

3. Texas

4. Okie Light

5. K State

6. Sand Aggies

7. WV

8. TCU

9. ISU

10. Charlie Wies

Lol, Charlie Weiss. The worst play call I've ever seen happened this year under the Weiss helm. Kansas faked a punt on their own 8 yard line against Tech on a 4th and 15. It was a tied game in the first half. How that guy is still a coach is beyond me.

1. Baylor - It's plug n play there now. It's not that Baylor is overly strong, the Big 12 is down again.

2. Texas - Strong gets the momentum going. Talent starts getting developed, players believe in each other, real defense is at Texas again.

3. OU - Not that I see a ton of talent in their cupboard, but a decent defense and good coaching will get you this far if you're OU.

4. Kansas State - Snyder does it again.

5. Tech - Not a lot of improvement in year two of Kingsbury.

6. TCU - Patterson throws a helmet at Briles this year.

7. OSU - devastated by losses from 2013.

8. Iowa State - Could be easily be three spots higher.

9. Kansas - Weis takes KU out of the cellar.

10. W Virginia - Bye bye Holgerson.

Couldn't agree more. Especially the QB situation.

There is potential to be second, but probably not.

Team will be tougher though.

OU was very impressive in their bowl game, so I would give them the edge. Texas could be placed almost anywhere, depending upon quarterback play and injuries. I have a strong feeling that we won't see any games like BYU next year. I can't help but think our defense will be much better even with our graduation losses. But more injuries on defense like we had this year could really be damaging. I would love to see Hicks make it through the year.
