Art Briles taking the stage now. 

When asked about Bryce Petty's performance last year, Briles says he thinks Petty should have been in New York last year (for the Heisman presentation).  Also thinks Petty has great potential to win it.  Leadership paradigm has changed for Petty, according to Briles.  Says "when Bryce talks now, people listen."

Commissioner Bowlsby discussing a lengthy list of challenges/concerns related to the NCAA headed into the future.  Financial situation is of concern due to roughly a 2% increase in revenue and a 4% increase in expenses.

Went down the list of recent Big 12 champions that have gone undefeated in the conference and stopped at the 2009 Texas team which went on to play Alabama in the National Championship game.

Code for. . . .it will take years for Baylor fans to give a crap about beating up on the weak sisters of the poor. . . in the mean time, I'll pad my stats and hope I don't have to face many D's with a pulse. . . . .stealing a page from the aggie playbook when just getting invited to a bowl game is unusual.

Agree 100%.  Charlie Weiss was just asked about the cheating mentioned by Bowlsby and Weiss didn't want to comment.  It is something to keep an eye on for sure.  Especially coupled with the mentions of the financial challenges related to the NCAA.

Patterson on who his starting QB will be:  We need to find the guy that has the swagger and will not turn the ball over.

So Trevone Boykin appears to still be in the mix for the Horned Frogs at QB.

Patterson also made the comment that he wished Trevone Boykin had a lot of Trevone Boykins to throw to.

Bowlsby is an extremely eloquent speaker but IMO his speech had a bit of an ominous tone to it.  I appreciate his candor but it really was more of what we have heard about the NCAA and the deficiencies in the system.  With this being said he was extremely positive and optimistic about the Big 12 as a league and where the LEAGUE is headed.
