Being Christian does not mean you are perfect or without sin. In fact, both the Bible and empirical evidence reveal that we are all sinners and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But being a Christian means that you have simply accepted the fact that although the wages of sin is death, the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. God created a way to bridge the gap between us imperfect humans and a perfect God by sending his Jesus as the perfect ultimate sacrifice to take on all of our sin and die with it, and then rise from the dead thus defeating both sin and death for those that accept, believe, and receive Him.
So to bag on TCU and Baylor is all fun and games, but TCU and Baylor is no different and no better or worse than UT nor any other school because it is comprised of HUMANS who are imperfect. And yes I would hope we would all do a better job of living our lives in light of God's love for us and not be as hypocritical as we are, but we are all still sinners. All the more reason for us to praise God for His grace. So as I am a current UT student, proud Longhorn, and follower of Jesus, let's not be so ignorant when broaching the subject of schools like TCU and Baylor.
Thanks and Hook 'Em!
