Bedford Speaks

[Aaron Carrara]

Texas fans have to be enamored with new DC and former player Vance Bedford.  He's not shy about what it means to play at UT and to wear the Longhorn on your helmet.

Quote on whether or not Texas has revenge on the mind with respect to BYU:

"I go back to years ago when I played here… we walked on the field we were there, we were supposed to win – we’re the University of Texas, that’s why we came here.

So, I didn’t need a paper clipping, I didn’t need to read an article that said Joe Blow said that they are going to run through us… that didn’t phase me.

When you came out there and I had that Horn on my helmet, the rest of it didn’t matter.  I looked at you and I’m fixing to knock your block off.  Life goes on.  This is the University of Texas and you are the other people.  It’s that simple."

[Matt Cotcher]

He's quickly becoming the interview that the media looks forward to every week. When he talked about watching last year's BYU game on TV, the disappointment he conveyed was palpable.

same feeling i had watching THIS year's BYU game.

The same feeling I had losing to a girl in fantasy football this week.
