Baylor running thread.

Let's be realistic about Baylor.  There were and are good, honest and moral people associated with Baylor.  They are as outraged and brokenhearted as the rest of us.  The same is true of Waco.  But, like our current politics, craziness and evil has taken over the Baylor program.  Immorality and ethical corruption is forgiven and forgotten.   All to win football games.

IMO, the Baylor program and school have inoperable moral cancer.  There is no cure for them.  There are just too many enablers, within and without the school.

So, even though we know there are good people involved with Baylor, we face the sad truth that the baby will have to be thrown out with the bathwater.

Baylor must be expunged from the Big 12.  Their misbehavior can no longer be tolerated and they are bringing the Big 12 down - just by their existence in it.

Football aside....I am surprised that Baylor does not have its accreditation pulled as an institute of higher learning. The death penalty should not be exclusive to their athletic department. Then I am surprised the Waco PD is not investigated by the feds.....rotten is rotten.

After reading the article, why do people still continue to contact the Baylor athletic department first?

Baylor AD is going to have to change the voice mail to: "You've reached the Baylor athletic department. If this is an emergency involving one of our football players please hang up and dial 911, otherwise leave a message"

Doc Longhorn – at what point does the Big 12 get serious with Baylor? Here we have yet another sexual-related crime by a Baylor player. You've hinted at this before, but it keeps happening and I was wondering if the drum beat has gotten louder in your circles.

If no notes were taken, ever, and no recordings were made, ever, how is it that the Baylor Board of Regents supplied the public with 13'pages of part information part legal gibberish that was supposed to encompass the 1,000,000 pieces of evidence that were examined?

The Baylor BOR must have great memories.

Just because the Baylor BOR was not 'provided' with a written report, does this mean that the people presenting the information from PH to BU did it off the top of their heads?

Who wrote the 13"pages that the BOR provided? Etc...

This is never going to end until the entire findings of PepperHamilton are revealed.

Keep in mind that a Texas school (Baylor) has been around a long, long time.  If the same thing had happened to WVU, they would be gone.

Baylor has powerful people, in the lege and in a national football organization (NCAA).  And they are a charter member of the Big 12.  They have silent allies within the Big 12.  Allies that have been criminally guilty in the past themselves.  I'll let you figure out who that may be.  I have heard that Baylor is recruiting comrades as they know they are walking on thin ice.

I have also heard that there are things on the horizen - none that favor BU.

We'll see.

Press caught up with Briles today, visiting Texans camp

Asked about regrets, he said. "I regret the situation I'M IN right now."

two things are really upsetting about this beyond the event itself.

first, the apparent disinterest by baylor and especially the store-bought coach to do anything about it until the vid surfaced nationally.

second, the filming.  does somebody follow that guy around with a vid-cam or was this event staged to give the scum an opportunity to post his manliness for the world to see?  i'm not going to mention how stupid the guy must be to post an illegal act.  not going to mention it.

actually there's a third.  who is this scumbag coach who was supposed to be a stand-up guy?  that evaporated in a hurry.

i'm just about convinced that any potential baylor hire, coach or player, must score below some ungodly number on a standard IQ test to garner consideration.
