So, the NCAA is planning on expanding the men's basketball tournament to 76 teams. Haven't seen if they are expanding the women's tournament.

I don't get it as to why. Most of the games are on TBS, TNT, and TruTV.

The way I understand it, the field oof 64 remains the same. The extra games will be a part of the "play-in" process. So extra play-in games.

Why don't they just go to a 362 team tournament and be done with it?

I'll make a guess here on what is going on. Just a guess though.

CBS has the TV rights and Disney is a sublicense to CBS. For Disney (owner of TBS, TNT, and TruTV) to keep this agreement they asked for either more games or more teams for more games. I dislike the play-in games and barely watched the 2 games that Texas played in.

Than someone saw this and said if there are more men's games, we need more women's games. Using the title IX rule. Don't fool yourself that this wasn't done either. I'm sorry, but how many blowout wins do certain teams need?

Both is stupid because the NCAA is saying the non conference games don't need any big name teams playing each other and the conference tournament could go away. Also, makes the top 20/25 ranking pointless to do.

I mean why stop at 76 why not go to 100, or 250, or as you said 362. Give out ribbons to everyone with a happy meal.

My thought exactly. Give everyone a participation trophy so they will feel special about making the tournament.
