FT% I'm thinking Texas hasn't been good at that for a while, dating back to the Barnes era
exactly.  I cant remember a Texas team that lead the conference in free throw % or 3-pt %

If Beard can fix the rebounding, they'll be hard to beat

So you're saying no conference championship....

Should we make this the official men's basketball tread?

I can't watch the BB game vs UTRGV but it's 46-41 at halftime. That's alarming. Are we running into the "an embarrassment of riches" scenario? The last game was a little concerning as well.
I did watch on LHN. Looked like they weren't focused in the 1st.  Bad passes, missed assignments on defense. Beard pulled a couple of guys and was letting them know that he was not happy with their play. Guessing halftime was a very one sided message.  Their got their act together defensively. Plus it helps when the other team got a technical at halftime for saying to or at one of the officials. Seton Hall is up next i believe either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thats too bad. We put 100K in DKR for an average football team, but can only muster 10K for a ranked hoops team.

I'm not too concerned yet about those stats. The team is still learning how to play together. As for the rebounding, that's understandable since our top rebounder is Disu. That stat will improve as the season goes on. Finally, we're not going to be a high flying offensive team and will ultimately win with defense. That's what you get with Beard.

Our second of 3 worth a damn non-conference games is tonight on FS1 vs Seton Hall in NJ. To get a ranked road win would be nice!

We lost the first challenge vs Gonzaga and the next isn't until the end of January vs Tennessee. The rest of our nonconference games should be double digit wins, including Stanford.

I dont know if Texas matches up well with Seton Hall. They have three bigs and average more offensive rebounds than Texas does in total rebounding.

They don't match up well down low at all but Mitchell is ballin! And our bunch is pretty scrappy ??

#2 Baylor destroys #6 Villanova in Waco, 57-36. Bears picking up where they left off from last year.

This team better figure out it's identity and who the big dog is soon. Our offense for long stretches especially the last 6-7 minutes made me think I was watching a shaka smart coached Tx basketball team.

Baylor, iowa state, west virginia, oklahoma all look for real. Yikes.

While the last game was frustrating on the offensive side of the ball. Not certain we will have many nights of a total of 5 points from Febres, Jones, Askew, Cunningham, and Bishop. If we do then we are in for a long struggling season.

Got to get Disu in some games for few minutes at a time soon.  Right now to say who is the big dog it's  probably a combination of Allen, Carr, and Mitchell. Ramey still has an issue of wanting to be the guy, but takes some bad shots at times.

Baylor isn't going away any time soon, sucks to say that. Haven't seen others don't know what to make of them.
