Might be a good time to start monitoring the bama boards.
A friend of mine, who is a Bama alumn, says lots of Bama folks are pissed at UT right now. Says a deal has been made between Patterson and Saban which will be announced after Saban's bowl game. Says Saban demanded that his extension not have a buyout and they think this is why.

Just found it interesting coming from the other side.

My wife and I are full time RV'ers we only come home buring football season and to spend the winter with our kids and grand kids. We will leave in April come home during October. I can tell y'all I will not be going throught Alabama this year. My friends y'all have a great week.

am i the only one worried about whether or not Saban is clean? i don't want him to come here and start cheating....but if he can win without cheating, I am fine. I would hate for our program to go down in flames because of SEC-style cheating that only catches up to him here.

no one cares if you have a different opinion, and no one should attack you for it, but was making a joke based on a past poster who only posted on this site about bashing people talking about Saban and nothing else

the problem with playing the martyr card here is that one of your first 4 posts was you mocking anyone who thinks Saban to Texaas is possible. (note: this is different than thinking Saban to Texas is certain). So if you don't want to be mocked, don't mock people. Express the same opinion without communicating that anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot.

I still believe there is way too much smoke for there to be no fire! It's looking more and more likely that Nick Saban is going to be the next head coach for the Longhorns.

He also had no buyout with the Dolphins. I couldn't find anything for LSU but I didn't search that hard for it. 4th paragraph in mentions the no buy out. NCAAF After repeated denials, Saban takes Bama job - ESPN

Here is Saban's contract contract that was in place as of last week. It has no buyout. I think his new "deal" was an amendment to the existing contract, not an entirely new contract. If I see a copy of what he signed last week,I will put it up on the server with the others.

Personally, I'm not believing in the Saban rumors. If he had any reservations about coming to Texas prior to last weekend, they multiplied last Friday. I just don't see the deal coming together.

If true it is great news. But i agree that we need to keep things close to the vest. Saban has cover right now. But don't want to scare him off like a baby deer. I am beginning to think this might actually be a possibility.
