Baby Steps - the State of the Program (by: Marian Hinton)

ie.yeah, until we keep all Texas kids from going to ou we're screwed.
streettopeschel we are also losing kids to the aggy trash telling a kid his future is in the sec and you can full fill that by playing at there crap hole. At some poing that pipeline needs to be closed that means winning games and watching the aggy crash and burn in the sec. That is going to happen at some point the aggy can't help themselves they have a long record of shooting themselves in the foot. streettopeschel my friend you know me and that said my view might be slanted since I can't stomach an aggy and I refuse to act like I do. My friends y'all have a great day

Alright folks - after reading this article, what is the biggest factor limiting this team?

- Coaching

- Swoopes

- OL

- Defensive inconsistency

- Injuries/suspensions/dismissals

- Poor tackling

- Overall talent on the roster

Or is it something else?
I'm going with overall talent on the roster because everything else on the list, except for coaching, is a result of the talent level which is just not TEXAS GOOD. You would be hard-pressed to find more than 3-4 players who would start on any of the 4 teams that will ultimately make the playoffs. And there is no game-changing, difference maker on offense. They might be one, or two, on the team but he has not shown up on the field yet this year.

Second, I would put lack of confidence. You have to play with confidence which is on the coaches to instill. It's comparable to golf. When I am playing with confidence is when I play my best. When my confidence level is low then I struggle. Coaches must get their teams to play with confidence and swagger. I think that is something that Sumlin is very good at. I just don't see Texas playing with a lot of confidence right now. That has got to change for this to get turned around.
