What is the logic of ranking UT at all? If it was known that Ash would not play another down of football I think that we would not be anywhere close to the top 30.

The SEC will be very interesting next season. BIG QB shoes to fill for: LSU, A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, S. Carolina (although Thompson has been more than an adequate backup), and Mizzou (Mauk played pretty well while filling in for Franklin this year).

Oregon State not in the Top 30? They only lose 2 or 3 starters. ..UCLA will depend a good deal on whether Hundley jumps to the NFL. . .if he stays. . .they could be very good.

Pac 12 has stepped solidly into the #2 conference which is not their history at all. ..traditionally they were a 2 horse conference. .2 good teams at the top then everyone else.

TEXAS. . .don't really care who the HC is. . .no QB today ...have to replace 3 best OLs with no clear backups (a big disappointment to me was the lack of backup reps we saw)

Texas probably should not be ranked to start but what use is these preseason polls. They people that rank them dont lose anything so it will mostly look like the end of this year. There needs to be a financial penalty for getting teams wrong by +/- 5 spots. Idiots rank these team and they are so far off. Auburn this year was not in preseason poll. Now they are ranked 4th in 2014 and might finish outside top 25, nobody know. F the preseason bias by a bunch of geeks who dont know good football when it is shoved up their asses.

Texas was a win away from the big 12 title despite mack brown being on his way out and having to fire his DC. Couple that with the news ash intends to be ready to go for spring practice and if Texas hires a big name coach they will be ranked in the top 25. Just watch. Esp if it's saban as some expect. These polls are useless but people will bump UT with a big splash
