I would like to remind everyone that just 6 years ago Bama was a $#@! show. Also not all big time recruits want to go there. Even after we went on our 72-9 run and before that where we won like 20 plus games in a row with Vince we did not get everybody we wanted. We are doing fine in recruiting.

We haven't had a run like Bama has had since Coach Royal (rest his soul). Bama hasbeen getting pretty much everyone they've wanted, and our recruiting is not fine. We're supposed to get butterflies abouta three star JUCO OT? No thanks. I'll get excited when we don't get blown out by Oklahoma AGAIN. But that will be awhile as long as Coach Clappy Clap is hanging around.

Alabama has had a solid stretch and it looks like they will be the team to beat again next season. Remember with Robinson though, he grew up a USC fan since he was little. You cannot underestimate the kind of pull that has on a guy when choosing where to commit. The rumor has it that his mom is insistent on him staying in Texas.

As far as the JUCO players.... I am fine with us grabbing JUCO's when it makes sense but seems like we are overdoing it a bit. Mack is on a JUCO tear with this class and if we offer WR Ronald Butler I will choke. He is probably decent, but a JUCO Wide Receiver??? Texas cannot do better than that???????

I'm with you. I'm not opposed to them grabbing an occasional JUCO. But don't expect us to jump on board with glee unless one actually pans out sometime.

Right now I'm VERY worried about our recruiting situation. Why would a quarterback come to Texas? Also, can Swoopes really be the savior? And when will he get his chance? Can we make it in the Big 12 relying on our run game exclusively? Do we have the offensive line and defensive juggernaut to make that actually work? Well, we shouldn't worry about the latter. We kept Manny Diaz. Lol.

Jalen Overstreet will challenge David Ash for the starting job, as well he should. I think he will , at minimum, be the 2nd stringer next year. David Ash can scramble but he is not a dual threat qb. Overstreet is, like Swoopes. I would go so far as to say Jalen Overstreet could be the best qb on our team right now. We just don't know it yet.

I am right there with you on this. If Overstreet is not in the mix we might just as well quit recruiting. I like Ash but only when it came to him or McCoy. Overstreet is the real deal and could be the next guy at UT.

I'll just say this. His decommitment dropped us significantly in the rankings. He is THAT good. If we can convert Wilson and possibly Herron then I will forget about Robinson. It hurts guys. Hurts baaaaaaaad.

Well we didn't get Herron or Wilson! WTF!? How the F@#K do we keep losing instate talent?! Jesus Christ this is getting ridiculous! We are going to need a really good season to help us get back on top recruiting wise. The last few seasons have taken their toll.
