Are the Horns NIT-Bound?

We know Texas will miss the NCAA Tournament this year, ending a 14-year run. Time to focus on what we CAN do - make an appearance in the NIT, which is anything BUT a given. The Horns definitely need to win out and maybe a game or two in the tourney to even be considered for the NIT.

Some say they don't want to see our Horns in the NIT but I say post-season basketball is post-season basketball. Let's do it.

Right now and considering the way they looked against KU, I'd say the NIT may be a pipe dream too. Hopefully that do make it, they could damned sure use more practice.

Sadly I don't care. Lose in the first round of the Big XII tournament? Lose in first round of NIT? Plus, judging by the lake of attendance at Erwin Center, I am not alone in my attitude.
