Apologies for the delay...

On behalf of the Horn Sports Staff we wanted to update you on the "upcoming announcement" which was scheduled for release today. Some of you may have heard that we are making several changes to the site's functionality. We anticipated this being completed today but it is evident that we needed more time to work the bugs out. The last thing we want to do is interrupt our members and their ability to post. Additionally we have a substantial announcement which will coincide with the release of our platform upgrade. Please accept our apologies on the delay - we know many of you were excited about the announcement. Go easy on Slim and the others - the delay is surely not their fault!

We are confident that our members will enjoy the upcoming improvements and will find the wait well worth it.

I drove by Horn Sports Plaza yesterday and saw a mountain of empty beer cans and a pile of empty handles of Jack next to about 20 empty pizza boxes out back. I'm not quite sure i'm buying the "bugs" story. If I had to guess, there is another marathon poker game going on in the basement where the servers are stored.

I have an update on the poker game. Aaron has a pair of tens with a Jack as a kicker. McPhaul has been pounding Jack since late Monday night (hence the pile of empty Jack handles out back). He is holding a set of sixes but he can't see his cards all that well. I can't see the cards anyone else if holding. One of the tech geeks called out for a delivery of tequila at about 9. The liquor store didn't open till 10, so they have probably gotten the message and are going to be delivering soon. It should be an interesting afternoon. Pizza for breakfast for the third day. The new server is still sitting in the box over in the corner, under a pile of Keystone Light cans (they ran out of the good stuff about 4 am last night).

McPhaul just folded. Bathroom break.

Stay tuned. Once the tequila shows up it should get really funny.
