ANYTHING SPRING FOOTBALL!!

Per HD:

Quarterbacks

The reps were pretty even between the five quarterbacks throughout the first part of practice. The Longhorns ended the day with team drills, where Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard received the most reps.

Based on the number of reps, Shane Buechele appeared to be the "third string" QB followed by Matthew Merrick and Kai Locksley.

Buechele did not have the best performance running the offense during team drills. Naashon Hughes blocked two of Buechele's passes, and one he blocked into the hands of Anthony Wheeler, who in turn returned it for a defensive TD.

Buechele threw a second interception while attempting a deep ball pass to John Burt, who was covered by Sheroid Evans. Burt and Evans went up for the jump ball, but Evans tipped it to Kevin Vaccaro for an INT. He struggled at times when the defense was pressuring him.

Listening to 104.9 The Horn,

They are also confirming that Kai Locksley has rubbed the new OC's the wrong way, and this is why he was bumped down to the 4th QB behind Shane B.

They said Kai Locksley is in the dog house to the point that he tried to jump in to take reps during team work in practice on Monday and Wednesday and was told to get back in line.

Limited details provided, but it definitely sounds like a maturity issue
It sounds like Kai have a higher opinion on his abilities than Gilbert does at this time.
