ANYTHING SPRING FOOTBALL!!

The late flip of Shackleford seems to be paying huge dividends

IMO, this was the one hole on the OL with no easy solution.  Pre-Shackleford, whatever solution we came up with to solve the center issue was going to snowball into another issue at a different OL position

But I keep reading that the Shack Attack is going to be the Day 1 starter.  That is quite an accomplishment.  Reliable true freshmen starting centers are hard to find.  We beat the odds with this player.

Very nice recruiting job especially in light of how late our OL coach came online.

He'll be this years Williams and Vahe, I have high hopes for him! Another Freshman All American?

If the "practice reports" are correct, then it seems possible.

ps -- But, I have been burnt more than a few times by glowing accounts from Longhorn Practice Reports

Not really, Mattox probably got him because he called Shackleford by his name instead of calling him fat ass.

Just heard on the LHN, between innings of the baseball game, that Heard may be done for the spring?
