Why haven't rumors come out of Tuscaloosa? I read some Tidefans stuff and nobody seems to think Saban is leaving. Surely they would have insiders all over a story like this. It just seems like their plugged-in people would be itching to break a story like this - and to follow that up with their own coaching targets??Are there any other sources outside of people connected to Texas??

I saw a couple of guys on ESPN literally laugh at the notion. I don't want to give up the names because then I'll just get the "he's an asshat" response. I'm not being a smartass at all here. I love all of the info and this is all very exciting. Just legitimate questions. So I take it no Alabama insiders that you all might have contact with have corroborated any of this? And that says nothing about whether it's true or not - I'm seriously just looking for impartial sources.

I grew up in Austin. My family was in the home building business. I was introduced to a lot people that became good friends over the years. IMO, that does not make me an "insider". I'm nothing more than a big fan like you all. I'm just lucky to get some information passed on every now and then.
