You do realize there are numbers limits on players signed per class so quit stating over and over how he failed to fill a recruiting class. he actually filled the class so well that Merrick was not going to have scholarship until players left. the missing scholarship players are from players leaving after signing day i.e. Darius James,Camrhon Hughes, Eric Huhn ,etc that were already on team who were not going to play and Cecil Cherry quitting after 3 days and Devo Clarington still in ncaa limbo.those missing scholarships can be used now on 2016 class on players actually likely to play at Texas instead of being wasted on players who won`t contribute. so STFU
Under Mack we had plenty of players happy to be on scholarship with no chance of playing that does not help team win. Mack hardly ever had 85 on scholarship and when he did it was by giving scholarships to walk-ons during fall.no one wants Texas to be mediocre but 1 recruiting class can`t fix years of neglect by previous regime. Charlie knows how to recruit and turn those recruits into players he also is going to break some and those players will transfer. Randolph the key is not just having 85 players but actually having those players being good enough to play at the level Texas needs to get to championships.
Another bottom line is that apparently Randy thinks he knows how to do Patterson's and Strong's job better than they do.Randy wrote a great treatise on the aggy's 12th man fable. I loved reading it. However, he was apparently unaware of the aggy neurosis that can sometime border on psychosis. The aggy nation went into melt down and I heard Randy actually was getting death threats and some aggy's were investigating him in order to find out his name, where he worked, his family names and where he lived. That is actually scary and this kind of stuff is why I am very secretive with my name, address, etc. So you all should be.
Now, Randy is an argumentative soul and can, sometimes, deviate from opinions to claiming "facts". And, when challenged, he will research like hell to find some kind of support for his "facts".
