Another Shaka shitshow

Because I'm a glutton for punishment (and have season tickets) I forced myself to go to the game. Through good times and bad, you gotta support the Horns. Pleasantly surprised with the win tonight. The biggest differences between this game and the last three losses: (1) shots actually went in and (2) Matt Coleman. At least for tonight, Coleman was an assertive floor general, drove the lane, and actually hit some 3's. Here's to hoping this game gives the good guys some confidence.

On a more frustrating note, there were a ridiculous number of Purdue fans and they were loud as hell. This felt more like a neutral site game. The lower bowl was asleep for most of the game until Jaxson got them out of their seats with that slam.

Finally, looks like Shaka woke up as far as his lineups. Kamaka got more minutes than Dylan, and I'm assuming that trend will continue for the rest of the season (or at least I hope so).

Met you a few seasons ago at the usc happy hour in Austin.  Do you travel from out of town to the hoops games?  For some reason I thought you lived a distance from Austin.  Oh, good talking to you again!

We actually moved back to Austin last summer. Good talking to you as well. If you ever want to meet up for a beer and/or a game, drop a line.

Time to bump this thread after another solid game against a mighty opponent this evening.  That’s all I got.

Watched the game last night and this loss was on the players. Several point blank shots (the one by Febres in particular was terrible) were missed. Not having Roach suit up last night hurt too. Sims may as while not suited up since he was a non-factor.

Be that said, if this trend continues, Smart may not be at Texas much longer. This coming from someone who likes him.

Don’t forget it is Smart who recruited these non-shooters.

And this is someone who thinks Smart should have been fired after last season.

Not watching the okie lite game, but have seen the score.  Losing by 17....why can’t shaka get his team up night in and night out?  Okie lite is lower tier with a 6-5 record this season.  Seriously?

Shaka just can't do the job.

CDC won't do anything until the season is over. But I bet he sends the shitshow packing when it's all said and done. I have quit watching cause you don't know what team is gonna show up.

I wasn't able to see the game last night but looking at the stats, 2-22 from 3pt land appears to have done the Horns in.

Do our boosters care enough about hoops to do it? New gym won't need fillin' for a couple of years. I bet Shaka stays at least another year barring a calamity.
This. I could be wrong, but I don’t see a booster or group of boosters caring enough to buy him out. If it was football, he’d already be gone.
