I've endured the shocked look on my wife's face when I told her i'd be gone about 13 hours today and now am coming to you live from AT&T stadium to bring you up to date coverage on a big slate of games today.  First of those is Allen vs. DeSoto.

Of course Aggie commit Kyler Murray plays at Allen as well as Greg LIttle, but Desoto has Tristen Wallace at quarterback and former prime prep player James Proche as at wide receiver.  Both teams have speed to boot and when they faced last season had a game come down to the wire.  The two schools have forged a bit of a rivalry over the years.

Desoto eats up half of the first quarter with a methodical drive but Allen holds them on 4th down for a turnover on downs.  Kyler Murray takes the field and is sacked on the first play for a loss of 9

Murray and his explosive first step go 60 yards on the second play on offense to give Allen a 7-0 lead.

The referee just reprimanded the Allen band over the loudspeaker for playing while DeSoto was calling signals.  The Allen crowd kicked it up to 11 and caused a false start the next play.  Desoto gets a big play on a swing pass and a late hit penalty to take them down to the 12.

Allen's red zone defense is as good as i've seen.  They force another turnover on downs.  Kyler Murray going back to work.

Joe Wickline needs to make it his personal mission in the next year to swing the commitment of Greg Little.  It will be extremely difficult but this kid is an absolute stud.  6'6 288 lbs and is built with no fat on him.  He is incredibly light on his feet with a great base and the ability to engage defenders in space at the second and third level.  Long arms and great in pass protection.

13 hours of football....  Heaven.

Plus you're in the press box so it ain't all that bad!

Not at all, I've got a great seat though I'm going to move down on the field for some of the later games.

Kyler Murray runs it in from three yards out to make it 14-0.  There's no doubt Murray has a ton of talent but most of his throws are setup on the run and from the pocket he has some mechanical things that reduce his accuracy.  He's great throwing on the run though.  This has been a contentious game so far.

Kyler murray fumbles out of the half to give DeSoto the ball at midfield.  Momentum starting to turn a bit.

Desoto's Tristan Wallace scores on a 21 yard run to give Desoto a 22-14 lead after the conversion.

Here's a name you might remember.  Former Longhorn Commit Bryce English is incredibly active and is getting a great push.  He's contained Murray well in this game.

Allen is not getting any calls in one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen.  Kyler Murray looks a little rattled and is not making his throws.  Desoto driving to make it a 16 point game
