Which Kamala are we talking about? The Indian or Jamaican?

And growing up in Oakland CA isn’t exactly Harlem. But she sure wants to appear like she came from the poorest of slums.
Kamala Harris has parents of mixed race, a black father (people from Jamaica with dark skin are typically considered to be black, Jamaican is a nationality not a race) and an Indian mother.

Kamala presents and has socially engaged as a black American. Heck, she went to a HBCU and is a member of a black sorority. People who think she is all of the sudden leaning on her black background are ignoring the way she racially identified as a teen and beyond. It's an attempt to undermine her popularity with black voters by questioning her race.

And to put a bow on it, being that she is mixed, she also has a legitimate connection to the Indian community. It doesn't seem to be how she has primarily identified but it is still part of her racial identity.

And thank God he did. It was a shame bill that didn’t close the border at all.
It was a step in the right direction. There isn't a golden bill that solves the problem completely. A bi-partisan bill that took the right steps is a good one.
