Hahahaha do you know why the Latino community was against naming the school after Obama?? Because they thought he was too tough on illegals. That he deported so many of illegal immigrants. That’s the crazy thing about you morons. The Republicans in Florida ran on calling Obama the Deporter in Chief. Yet y’all swear Obama/Biden were some beacon to illegal immigrants. Also it’s amazing how often these morons on the right cry about cancel culture while calling for people to be cancelled and companies to be boycotted. It’s the exact same thing. Man you guys are so dumb, it’s sad. But the good news is they are naming the school after John Lewis instead. Good be a good sign that the Dems in the Senate will be getting rid of the filibuster & passing the John Lewis VRA. Ready for that. The tears from the right if that happens will be delicious.

This clown is hanging on by a thread. No way he makes it 4 years, but hey that’s just the way Obama planned it. Ole Scranton Joe get in there and sign all the liberal socialism shit and then they put him on medical leave and up steps Kamala. He wanted Kamala and this was the only way to get her. She was running 1% in the DNC and didn’t even pull her own state. Americans are being taken for a ride with this BS. The DNC doesn’t have a fair nomination process and now they figured out how to win a general election without having the votes. They screwed Bernie twice. He had Hillary beat and Obama shut that down and Bernie would have won the nomination this time but they put ole safe Joe in there and “help” him pick his running mate. They’ve been in there less than 90 days and signed over 100 different actions and not a damn one of them helps this country. I like America first actions not every other country first and America last. Really who in this country would like Americans being placed last???
Yes a million percent yes. The filibuster is terrible for so many reasons. It prevents both Democrats & Republicans in purple states or in states they don’t fit the majority party ID, from actually taking votes on legislation their constituents want. So someone like Susan Collins or Krysten Sinema don’t have to take votes on bills because someone threatens to filibuster it so then it doesn’t go to the floor. Now those senators can pretend they support things & not have to actual so that in action.
The filibuster isn’t a tool to protect the party in the minority nor does it make the Senate have to deliberate to find middle ground. It’s a tool for obstruction. The minority can just continue filibustering things they do not like, without offering any reasonable changes to bills. So it’s means that things will not get done in a highly partisan Senate, which we will have from now on. That means to break the filibuster the Senate must have a cloture vote. That’s so much time spent doing nothing. Then you will just see more and more sessions where the party in power squeezes more things through reconciliation. Get rid of the filibuster and you get rid of the need to dig your heels in. Guarantee there are plenty of moderates on both sides who would break ranks on votes without the filibuster. That means the party in the majority has to put out bills that do not stray too far to the extreme or risk losing their voters. That also means you would have people like Manchin or Romney voting with the other party more on bills. But when the filibuster is there, everyone is gonna work to keep their side happy and say screw the other side.
Then with the power the Senate holds, sorry if I don’t think it’s wise that Montana, the Dakotas and Wyoming can make decisions they affect California, New York, Illinois, and Massachusetts. Yeah yeah the House is there for population. But the Senate is the upper chamber and they are not against f##king over the larger population. So they need a check on them. The filibuster is an agent of a minority of the population rule on the majority of the population. That’s not good and it should be abolished.
