Adam Dunn hangs'em up. . .Thanks for the memories

[echeese]

It was the spring of 1998. . . .Adam Dunn had a great shot to be the starting QB for TEXAS in the fall but decided to pursue a Major League Baseball career. . . .

A pretty wise move, he made his family millions, the #50 player to hit for 400 homeruns while playing for Cincinnati, Washington, Arizona and the White Sox before ending his career with the Oakland A's.

He was also a 2 time All Star.   and voted the 2012 comeback player of the year.   finished with 1682 hits and 462 homeruns

Thanks for representing TEXAS so well ..

they were going to move him to TE. that speeded up his departure.

Did i hear it correctly on the radio recently that once he was traded to Oakland, they never even played him?

he didn't play in last night's playoff game. maybe that's what you heard because he played some for OAK after the trade, just not very well.

Was always fun to see him launch one . . .

according to baseball-reference.com, he grossed $112 million in career salary. i'm no accountant, but i'm guessing even after taxes he probably made the right call leaving the 40 acres early.
