A Look at Possible New Staff

LB Jean-Marie

DB Travaris Robinson (UF)

S&C Moorer

All the coaches other then Orgeron, Jean-Marie, and Robinson would have Texas ties. Orgeron can likely recruit anyone anywhere. Robinson is well thought of as a coach and recruiter and may want to jump off the UF ship before it sinks. I personally think Applewhite did a decent job considering the injuries and QB situation. I am thankful for McCoy's contributions but to say that he lacked most of the tools you'd want from a div 1 qb is probably fair. As a recruiter, Applewhite brought in most of the running backs on our team, held together guys during the worst times, and would allow a fair amount of continuity. Also, it's hard to judge an offensive playcaller under Mack, as he's been rumored to meddle on the offensive side going back to Greg Davis. Harsin was also well thought of and didn't have amazing success during his year.

OC - Tom Herman, top choice far and away. Scott Frost, only 1 year as OC calling plays but very good

OL/Running Game Coordinator - Klemm double or triple his salary, if necessary kidnap him <-agree, if no then Wickline from Ok St. -must get 1 of these 2.

TE - Tim Brewster - STUD. this call needed to be made already, ok i guess we can wait till monday late night to make it. co-recruiting coordinator Offense

WR - Darrell Wyatt, best coach on staff last year, great recruiter and teacher. keep. co-recruiting coordinator Offense

RB - Larry Porter is good but i would at least check to see if there is someone else that would be better.

Strong will have his input more on this side of the ball

DL - Ed Orgeron, STUD. this call needs to be made b4 sundown today. give him what he wants. co-recruiting coordinator Defense, co-everything title.

Take a look at Ron Cooper. He is avail and was the architect of the great LSU defensive backs. He's not a lights out recruiter but a great coach and evaluator.

Cooper could be a very good hire, we need good teachings more so in Big 12. if we have a couple of ace recruiters like Ed O & Tim B, they can get the talent here.

He's one of the top recruiters in college football. VY is the reason so many love him here. But he's better than anyone we've had since he left.
