SignUp Now!I'm convinced the next coach has to be a splash hire - to reverse aggy and SEC momentum and recoup our dominance on the recruiting trail.and he is a better fit than Saban.
He has Mack's blessing.
McPhaul is trying to double confirm this and may post later.
Huge name.
It has been my opinion all along that this guy may very well be the next coach at Texas.
Let's wait for McP to post.
Let's be real. I don't think Urban would leave the Bucknuts, but if he did he wouldn't tolerate any meddling by Mack or anyone else. This is a man who has turned around losers everywhere he has gone, won 2 national championships, and all he did in his first 2 years at OSU is win all but one game despite inheriting a train wreck. That type of coach will be his own man and not another's lackey.I could. I want the SOB out of the program. If we hire one of his buddies like Urban Meyer, then Mack will continue to meddle in the program and that is not good.
Lol pos repI'm an official moron. I was curious so I looked at his posts and searched to find out whether he did nail it 3 months ago and found out he signed up two months ago. I could have found that out by simply looking at the sidebar on his last post but nooooo, Randolph has to be an idiot.

So, who fills the bill? It can only be Harbaugh. Shaw simply doesn't meet the requirements, IMO.
Embrey -Not crazy at all. I've been saying Urban Meyer for a long time. Too many things just seem to be aligning themselves perfectly for it....
Only problem is a few BMDs are holding the Aaron Hernandez situation against him (which is wrong imo).
Shhh, keep it on the down low. -
No inside info btw.. In fact, most ppl I talk to tell me their ppl are saying Meyer isn't an option right now. All in on Saban.
I just don't see it working out that way in another 2 months.

So it is Meyers?Embrey -
How did you dig that thing up!!!
That is a month old.
Time to come out of dreamland and get realistic here. 1) Jim Harbaugh will not leave SF for texas. He has a better gig in the NFL. He is a hyper competitive person and will not consider leaving until he wins a Super Bowl. Hell will freeze over before Harbaugh becomes the next coach at Texas.
2) Urban Meyer will not be the next coach at Texas. Ohio State is one of the top 5 jobs in the country, he grew u p an OSU fan, both him and his wife are from Ohio and their extended family live there. He will not be leaving Ohio State no matter how much money Texas throws at him.
3) Saban is not leaving Bama, period. That ship has sailed.
4) Fisher and Malzhan will not leave their teams or seriously discuss any opportunity with Texas until after January 6. If Texas wants to wait that long, it has a chance at them, but again neither are realistic at this point.
Who is realistic at this point.
1) Tomlin (only if his job in Pittsburgh is on the line, if he is safe, then he would not leave Pitt to coach Texas)
2) David Shaw - But is he a good fit
3) Charlie Strong - He will be gone from Louisville to greener pastures sooner than later.
4) James Franklin - Too much of a wild card.
5) Mike Gundy - I just don't know if I think he is right for Texas
6) Art Briles - Signed a big contract, but when Texas calls he will jump
