6th st

I'll be traveling down for the game against okiestate and have been to a game In Austin since I was 10. Taking my family and curious if 6th st is kid friendly or mostly just bars? Wanting to see campus and such but didn't know how 6th st was.  

Also I see where 2 and younger don't have to have a ticket if they stay on your lap. Anyone have experience with this? One of my kids turn 3 oct 6 so missed that one by a couple weeks dang it lol.

6th street = bars and eateries.

Except for the food places (and not all of them) not really suitable for young kids.

Besides, there are plenty of things to do in Austin besides drinking eating and ogling college girls (or guys, if the case may be).

Wouldn’t take kids to 6th unless it’s during the day when most of the bars are closed. Not really kid friendly otherwise.

Thank you that's what I figured. We will find other things to do for sure. Have always heard it's a hell of a city. I'll have my own pretty little lady so won't be to wrapped up in the eye candy this trip lol. Hopefully eat some of the badass BBQ I have read about on here.
