2026 Recruiting Board/Thread

Coffee & Football mentioned a kid at Strake Jesuit today. His name is John Hebert, a running back that has 2724 yards rushing yards and 28 TD's. He is a Christian McCaffrey clone. And unranked by 247.

John Turntine is about as close to a must-get in recruiting as it gets. It would be amazing to get a 5 star tackle each cycle but that will be an uphill battle. Getting one every other cycle is something Texas needs to accomplish

From CTJ today

Finley and Lott are bigger priorities than Bishop at WR. There are bigger priorities OOS as well. Lott could be a CB, which would change some things.

The IOL in Spring, Turntine and Kotoa are the must-gets as of now on OL. They’ll take 5-6 if they can land 3 OTs.

They could have a TB commit now if they’d wanted it, but it’s not clear if they’re going to take a small scat back in this cycle.

There’s a DL out of Richardson, I think, who will be a big priority.

Baryman out of Louisiana is probably a Texas, ATM, LSU dogfight.

The LB mentioned in The Stampede is probably too small. Georgia assumes they’ll land Atkinson but Texas might really be interested in winning that one.

From CTJ re OL recruiting.

"Obviously, it’s early and things change in recruiting cycles, but Ojo isn’t high on the Texas board, allegedly.

1) Turntine

2) Katoa

3) Robertson

and then a lot more evaluating. They’re looking for a swing guy for one of the targets on top of 2 sure OTs.

Expect this to be an amazing OL class. Turntine could start on day one. He’s basically Banks. Not saying he will, but he might."

4-star DL Dylan Berymon (Monroe, La./Ouachita Baptist) has told OTF that he has Texas leading for his services. He is Texas' top priority.

He's 6' 1.5", 310 lbs.

Everybody and their dog is recruiting him. Credit Coach Baker, who is leading this recruitment and calls Berymon almost every day.

Oh yea, he's now beginning baseball season. He starts on his team's outfield. Dude is very athletic.

Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson 2026 EDGE Yahya Gaad, 6-5, 257-lbs, will announce his commitment on Thursday.

Texas is the current favorite to land his services.

Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee are the other suitors.

He had 64 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and two forced fumbles in 2024.
