2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

OTF had a note on CB recruiting this morning, and it sounds like Texas' focus right now is on Aidan Anding, Dorian Brew and Kade Phillips.

Cobey Sellers is leaning Oklahoma.

Courtland Guillory has an official visit to Texas in June, but it appears he doesn't sit as high on the board as the first three.

Potentially interesting development here as WR Marcus Harris is headed to Austin tonight for a visit.

He was scheduled to be in town later next week, but mentioned he wanted to get back sooner.

IT mentioned today the staff would take his commitment if he was ready.

Hard to tell if he's close to pulling the trigger, but I'm sure seeing three five-star WRs rave about Texas last weekend caught his eye.

Quotes from WR Kaliq Lockett of Sachse after his visit to Texas (IT):

“Definitely one difference is the coaching change,” Lockett told Inside Texas. “I feel like coach Jackson believes I can be a impact player here at the University of Texas. Also, getting to be around the other recruits, like Jaime Ffrench, Dakorien Moore, and KJ Lacey, the quarterback commit here. Being around those guys, talking about the experiences in our recruitment, and how the process is shaping up.”

“Man, my boy Johntay (Cook) stood out always,”
Lockett said. “Even Ryan Wingo , the freshman, was legit. Another definitely was the running back Jaydon Blue. He was running that day.”

“I really liked that conversation because we didn’t talk football, we talked about life,”
said Lockett. “Then my dad being from California and coach Sark and coach Jackson being from Cali, they had a connection. That was one of the biggest things we had.”

“KJ (Lacey) is my guy,”
Lockett said. “We have a lot in common in football, but he’s even cooler off the field. I like him as a person and who he is. I’d like him to be my QB one day.”
