WR Dakorien Moore of Duncanville on Texas (247):

“I’m definitely trying to get down there,” Moore told Horns247 at the Under Armour Dallas camp on Sunday.

“It’s always love,” Moore said of UT. “They’re always checking in on me, making sure I’m ok, making sure my family’s straight. It’s about life. Every now and then they talk to me about football. But they know I’m a ball player. They know I’m going to come in and handle business. They’re really trying to see who I am outside of football.”

“It was hard not to pay attention to Xavier Worthy,”
Moore said. “That boy went out there and broke the combine record. I’ve been watching him since he was wearing No. 8. I thought he was very explosive. He wasn’t one of the biggest guys, but he was definitely an impact player on their team. I really look up to him. He made a big impact at Texas. He set a standard.”

“Colin (Simmons), Jordon (Johnson-Rubell), all my family from down here, they try to get me to see what Texas is,”
Moore said. “I talk to Johntay (Cook) every now and then. I really have a tight relationship with him.”

“It’s always been home since before me,”
Moore said of what keeps Texas in the conversation, despite his pledge to the Bayou Bengals. “My granny, all them grew up loving Texas. I gave it a chance. My momma really forced me to. I’ll say it was a good thing, though. Once I seen what it was, I started loving it too. They're really family-oriented. I really loved it. On top of that I’m big on relationships, so they really bring it.”

How can you be committed while having three other schools contending for your services? Kinda like telling your wife she's the only one while having three other girlfriends.
Honey, I'm going to commit to you so you feel special, but it's a soft commitment. Meaning, I'm gonna date others and I'll let you know my final decision next year. However, you better not date anyone else or I walk.

Just wait until the '26 cycle. With a late June signing period you will have players "portal" before 2026 actually begins.

WR offer Tanook Hines of Spring Dekaney told IT he speaks with Coach Jackson every other day and is in the process of setting up an official visit.

He recently ran a 10.55 100m dash.

Another prime candidate for the barber's chair lol

Visiting multiple sites today and it's sounding more and more like LB commitment Anthony Williams of Pearland Shadow Creek won't end up in the class.

He has scheduled a couple official visits - none of which are Texas - and it reads like Coach Nansen has higher priorities with Williams committing before he was hired.

That does sound like the big brush off.

Interesting, last reports were that we stopped recruiting him because of the peanut butter allergy incident.

Perhaps the staff dug deeper on that and feel like he has moved beyond this issue.
